Story Time in the Park

Story Time in the park will be every Friday for six weeks in the summer from June 23rd to July 28th. Story Time is for all ages. There will be a meaningful story, fun music, an activity, and a snack. Bring a blanket to sit on.
This is a FREE event for families to come together and enjoy the park.
We are in the pavilion right next to the lake in the C section by the playground. The playground is open to stay as long as you would like after the event and enjoy the park.
LEAP Discovery Center has created this event to help children leap off that Summer Slide by engaging in reading activities.
This week is a story dear to my heart and is read every year in my classroom. “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” by Carol McCloud is an amazing story about how to share love and kindness to others. After the story, everyone will decorate a Kindness Stone. The Kindness stone then can be left in the community to share happiness with others. When people find a stone they will be able to scan the bottom so you can follow the stones journey and see how far your kindness can travel. You can’t beat an exciting story for all ages, fun activity, yummy snack, and meet new friends. Hope to see you there.
